This year, our club read 7 incredible books filled with meaningful conversations, laughter, and learning along the way. The discussions were engaging, inspiring, and a wonderful opportunity to connect and build stronger relationships with coworkers across the district.
A huge THANK YOU to our District Librarian, Mrs. Nicole Hathorn, for organizing and leading such a fantastic experience throughout the year. Your dedication helped create a space where staff could grow together both personally and professionally.

Monte Alto ISD is excited to announce that we have received the Summer Career and Technology Grant to expand learning opportunities for our students this summer!
This grant focuses on two important areas designed to support student success and career readiness:
🔹 High School Summer Bridge Program
🔹 Work-Based Learning Opportunities
Through the Work-Based Learning component, students will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working in our:
💻 IT Department
🛠️ Maintenance Department
Students selected for the program will earn 💲$10 an hour while developing valuable real-world skills and exploring future career pathways.
📅 June 1 – June 25
🗓️ Monday – Thursday
⏰ 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
✅ Must be 16 years old
✅ Current 12th graders may apply

After spending two years at Texas Lutheran University, Christian is excited to be back in the Rio Grande Valley and closer to his community. He will be majoring in Kinesiology with a minor in History as he works toward his future goals.

This added layer of security is part of our ongoing commitment to providing a safe and secure environment for all students, staff, and visitors. Once operational, these detectors will help support our safety protocols and ensure a more secure entry process.
